Easton's First Birthday
Today our little boy turned one.
It was an eventful day filled with balloons, presents, and cake.
Family came to celebrate with us at our house and Easton was showered with presents with an emphasis on cars (police cars, fire trucks, dump trucks etc.) which he loved!
It was "fun" to put all the toys together.
It was actually fun to watch him try cake for the first time. He was messier than Hadley was but still did not enjoy the messy fingers or the cake for that matter. He preferred his apple and sippy cup of water.
However, there were some good photos taken and he was happy all day!
New things that he is doing:
waving - mostly a fist with a lot of arm motion but still a wave.
kisses - open mouth cheek kisses to us.
high 5's - All you have to say is high 5 and hold out your hand and he knows what to do.
more - he is now making an effort to put his two little hands together to tell us that he wants more of something. Although his arms fly all around it is still clear that he is trying to put his hands together to let us know what he is trying to convey.
car seat - we switched his car seat to forward facing. He is now out of the bucket seat that allows for easy transfer if he falls asleep in the car. But now he is facing forward and we can see each other better which will make traveling long distances easier if he is awake.
standing - Easton now stands on his own without holding on to things. No walking yet but it won't be long.
clothing - he is now in size 18 month clothing. I suspect by Christmas he will be in size 24 months or size 2 clothing. He grows so fast! His socks are size 18-36 months or size 2-3 depending on the store.
Easton is so happy almost all of time. He is such a joy to have in our lives! What a blessing!
