August Long weekend
Brian was away in Boston all last week for work and then he had plans to be away all weekend at our friend Mike's cottage for his bachelor party weekend. SO... This is where my crazy self decides to do as much as I possibly can with two kids in a weekend. (Long weekend but still).
So...
On Friday night we drove to Listowel to have dinner with my mom and brother. Which was good. Then we stopped in to surprise Brian's mom to see if she needed anything as I know it must be sometimes challenging with a broken arm. But no, she was doing amazing and was just glad to see us.
Saturday was spent at the Cole cottage where we enjoyed good company and lots of beach time.
Sunday morning was spent with my sister's family. (I feel blessed to see them when I do because we live so far from each other now). It is always lovely to see our kids play together. It makes my heart smile.
Then it was off to Sauble to spend a night at my dad's cottage where there was more beach time, ice-cream and the like.
Friday to Monday. CRAZYNESS! I managed to get home today with two kids in under 5 hours from sauble. This is pretty amazing! Easton slept for most of it and Hadley slept for 2 hours of this long drive. (God was with me on this one).
I am now home and thinking of all my single parent friends. They all deserve great big hugs.
I had a good time but it was tiring and I am glad to be home.
