May Long Weekend
This past weekend we made the trek with both kids to my sister's house in Port Elgin. It was our first visit since she moved last fall. (Timing just didn't work out until now for us to get there).
So we made the drive which would normally take about 4 hours but with two kids it took about 8 hours - each way.
There were quite a few stops including lunch and dinner, the beach at Georgian Bay, nursing and washroom breaks.
However, once we finally got there, we enjoyed time together and time at the beach which was minutes from their house. Hadley loved playing in the sand and in the water. She could have spent all day there! We broke the day up a little and had the kids play at the park and we did some walking around but Hadley could have easily just spent all day playing in the sand and water. Easton enjoyed time in the sling and getting his feet wet in the water as well.
It was nice to see my sister's new house and it was nice to spend time together but my favorite part was seeing how much Hadley and Jayden loved spending time together. They wanted to do everything together including sleep. :) (That sort-of worked. They just became little chatter boxes).
Fun times. Glad to finally be able to warm my sister's house. :)
