Home Depot
We were in need of a new blind for Hadley's room with the time change coming up so we went today to Home Depot and joined in the fun of the kids workshop. It is held monthly on the second Saturday and up until now Hadley wasn't old enough to go. (You have to be 4). We figured that 8 days before her 4th birthday was close enough.
I tried to pre-register but the girl on the phone said that we didn't need to pre-register despite what the website said.
I was a little disappointed when we arrived and the person in charge said that Hadley couldn't have an apron because we didn't pre-register. Gahh!
Anyway, I did pre-register for one of their days next week (March Break) and she will get her apron then.
The rest of the experience was awesome though!
She received her kit to make an orange race car with the #20 on it for Joey Logano.
We worked together to hammer, glue and sticker her car and she was SO proud of it! She did a great job! The girl from Home Depot handed Hadley a pin that she could put on her apron when she gets it.
The whole building experience took about 15 minutes and then we were off to get our blind which we will hopefully install tomorrow.
Hadley played on the floor with her car around the store and for a lot of the evening. She even wanted to sleep with it. :)
What a great experience.
