Zoo, Potty, Library, Growing
Today was a fun day. We met up with many from our mommy group and spent time at the zoo. We did two sections of the zoo including the new indoor section that showcases the pigmy hippos, warthogs, and lemurs etc. I love that there is a new area to explore!
Hadley had an almost perfect washroom day with only one mishap today. (We are finally making progress after her regression from when Easton was born). About a week ago I put up a chart in the washroom and said that she could have a sticker for it if she kept her underwear clean all day. Up until this point we were celebrating individual successes, but now I am ready to cheer for the whole day. The chart is still sticker-less but we are getting much closer!
I am reminding her to try even if she says she doesn't have to go and this helps a lot especially before we leave for anywhere and when we arrive anywhere. Plus I really know her gotta pee dance.
Tonight I decided to try out the Village Branch Library Story Program in Pickering Village. So after dinner we went out and listened to stories, sang songs and made crafts! The craft was a bear mask. I asked Hadley to put her name on the back and she did. Then I asked her to put Verkley on the back and after I told her the letters she did it no problem. We have never done it before and I didn't have to show her what to write, I just had to tell her how to spell it. It was awesome to watch! Some letters were upper case and some lower case but all the letters were there!
Easton slept a lot today and ate a lot today. I think he is growing again.
