10 Weeks Old - Time to get a Christmas tree
Easton was 10 weeks old yesterday and there are more changes happening all the time. Last night during his bath, I realized that this was probably the last time he would use the baby tub. His head kept hitting the top as he kicked his little feet. So, next time we use the big tub.
Easton's sleep patterns are starting to change again. This past week he has slept for longer periods of time. Usually during the night he has one long sleep of 6 to 8 hours. This sounds like a good night's sleep; and it is... for him. He goes to bed early so this means that I still get up in the middle of the night with him once or twice. So to give you an example. He goes to bed around 8 or 8:30pm and gets up between 2 and 4:30am. After his long sleep, and then he is gets up every 2 or 3 hours after that.
Hadley helped him this week to hold a rattle and he shook it with surprise.
Easton usually can be found with bubbles just outside of his mouth. He is making more and more noises and becoming more and more aware of things around him. He loves eye contact and when we say HI to him. Sometimes when we ask him if he wants a diaper change he says ya. It is pretty early to say words I know but pretty funny. He also sometimes makes a sound like HI.
Yesterday when we were just about to go to Home Depot to get a Christmas Tree, we had a Christmas elf knock at our door.
Brian's aunt Cecilia came for a visit as she was in the area and decided to help out.
We really wanted to go to Vandemeers Nursery to get our tree as we have in years past but with both car seats and only one car this year we had to think of another option to get the tree home. So at Home Depot you can rent a truck to take things home that you purchase so we were going to do that until Cecilia showed up and offered to come with us and bring our tree home in her car. So, another year with another beautiful tree from Vandemeers. It settling as I type with hopes of decorations to be put on it today. :)
The last thing to note at 10 weeks is that he sits up for short periods of time with our assistance and holds his head pretty well. His muscles are getting stronger and stronger every day.
