8 weeks old - Innocent and Musical

Today we had two doctors appointments to attend to for Easton.  The first one was with Dr. Beaulieu.  He is a heart specialist.  The midwives heard a murmur and recommended that we check it out just to be sure.  They thought it would be nothing, and that is exactly what Dr. B said.  Absolutely nothing to worry about.  It is called an innocent musical murmur that pull on small tissue fiber strings on his heart creating an extra sound.  No need to come back, no need to worry.  :)  GREAT NEWS!  Apparently many kids have this, it just goes undetected.
We had an Echocardiogram done that showed us the movement of his blood and we saw his heart.  It was kind of cool to see.

The second appointment was with Dr. Nag our family doctor.  Easton will be 8 weeks tomorrow so it was time for his first family doctors appointment.
He was weighed and measured and received his first set of immunization needles.
Easton is 12 pounds 15 ounces up from 12 pounds 5 ounces at 6 weeks.
His head circumference is 41cm which is the same as at 6 weeks.
He has grown to be 63cm long.  Up from 59 at 6 weeks.  (That's right, almost an inch in 2 weeks)!
Here is the amazing part.  Easton is in the 95th percentile for both height and weight.  Actually he is above the 95th for height but higher than that doesn't fall on our doctors spreadsheet.
What does this mean?  95% of the kids his age are shorter and weigh less AND he went to his appointment earlier than most kids since he won't be two months until December 2nd.  I didn't know that I was supposed to wait until after the 2nd to book this appointment.
So far no fever, just lots of sleep.  (I hope that continues through the night).

8 weeks in - How am I doing?  To be honest Easton has one 6 hour sleep every night, or at least he has for approximately a week (I should go to bed when he does but I don't so that usually means I get a 4 hour stretch before he is back to his 2 hour feedings all day).  I feel a little overwhelmed by the cleaning, my house seems smaller with all the baby stuff and toddler stuff out, and my to do list is long.

However, IT IS ALL WORTH IT.  I am in love with my kids!
