Lan Party Weekend

Busy weekend.

Friday night:
I played 18 holes of golf, went home and packed up my computer and headed off to Michael Omand's house for a lan party.  Shawn Bender, Mike, and I played Empire Earth II past the wee hours of the morning.

Saturday:
Shawn Kohlsmith joined us.  The day was filled with Empire Earth II, chips, Far Cry Coop, chips, Burnout 3, chips, Burger King, chips, Moosehead, and more Empire Earth II.  After Shawn left, and Mike went to bed, Bender and I played more Burnout 3 to unlock new cars, pass the wee hours of the morning.  Ya, it was a healthy day.

Sunday:
Galactica and more Burnout 3, and then a quiet drive home in the afternoon.  I love lan parties.  Good friends, good food, and some healthy competition.  We really should learn to gang up on Bender from the start though.  This was the first lan party a Michael's apt; he and Jessica did a great job as hosts.

Sunday evening:
Since my computer was disassembled anyway, I might as well cut a hole in the wall and finally finish that rack.  Leanne and I built and rebuilt the rack until we got it right for my computer.  We need KVM extension cables to finish the job because now the monitor and such is much further from where we need to plug them in.  We will leave the rest of the job for later in the week.

So let's recap.  Golf, computer assisted sleep deprivation, and building something cool with my wife.  And it wasn't even a long weekend.
