Midwife appointment

2010-09-08 22:19:11 • by Leanne Verkley

At today's midwife appointment the baby measured 36 cm at 38 weeks.  This confirms that the baby has indeed moved down at least a little.
My blood pressure was 98 over 58.  Good and low still.
I reported back that my counts for the baby's movement were well over the 6 per 2 hours and more like 12 or more per hour.
Last weeks ultrasound results confirm one baby, an anterior placenta, normal amniotic fluid, and a closed cervix that is normal in length.
The biophysical profile shows normal fetal tone, normal fetal body movements, and normal fetal breath movement with a score of 8 out of 8.  VERY GOOD.  In fact the best score you can have.
The baby is in the ROA position.  Right Occiput Anterior.  These anterior presentations (ROA and LOA) are normal and usually are the easiest way for the fetus to traverse the birth canal.
All is looking good.
