Saturday Pool Party, Sunday Verkley Picnic
Saturday was filled with pool party fun at our friends Andy and Joanne's house. They just got a pool this summer and this was their official opening party with their friends.
Hadley and Brian had so much fun in the water. I watched as Hadley held on to a pool noodle and floated for a few seconds on her own with Brian by her side. She will be swimming on her own in no time I suspect.
At almost 35 weeks pregnant, I decided not to swim this time. However, this just means we will have to go back!
Their pool and hot-tub were beautiful and we stayed late to enjoy the good food and company.
Sunday we headed to Tom and Cathy's house to enjoy the annual Verkley picnic.
The day was filled with great conversation with the many that attended.
Some highlights were more visiting time with Lisa and Jeff, stories of Cecilia's trip to Papa New Guinea, golf cart fun, Cathy, Doreen and Brian's first time on the zip line, (which I hope to do next year), Hadley playing with Leahanne which resulted in her changing how she said Leanne. It used to be LeaLan. Now it is a clear Leanne.
There was a wonderful chicken BBQ dinner, with great desserts. I think Hadley ate far to much watermelon this weekend but she LOVES it.
It was another late night but so much fun.
Today will be a low key day I think.
