Kids in the Square
Today turned out to be a very busy day.
It started with Focus on Preschoolers at the OEYC for 9am. Hadley wasn't quite ready to do crafts at that time but we went and she made an effort until the toys were brought out and then she just wanted to play.
At 11 am we met up with Patti and Alicia at Rotary for some splash-pad fun. I think we were there for almost three hours! Including a picnic lunch and a few swings at the park.
The afternoon was enjoyed with popsicles in the backyard and a soccer game on TV. Spain won and is moving on in the world cup.
After dinner we had an early bath and then met up with Krista, Simon, Trinity and Alexa, as well as Patti, Andy and Alicia for some fun just outside the library. A free summer program called kids in the square provided live entertainment that the kids loved.
It was 2007's Canadian Children's Group of the Year. Described as the "Canadian Wiggles" and the "U2 of children's music", Splash n' Boots.
It was a hot night but lots of fun.
What a busy day.
