Air Conditioning

Today was just a Tuesday in the summer but we enjoyed the morning in the air conditioned AMC theatre in Whitby for their $1 movie day.
We saw Madagascar.  Hadley LOVED it.
She has been singing the song "I like to move it move it" all day long.  So cute.

The afternoon was spent at the McLean Centre Park with Chris from the OEYC at a program called books on the run.  He read books to the kids while we sat on a tarp in the shade.  The books were all about bugs and then we did a craft making our own butterflies.  Hadley drew on coffee filters with markers and then sprayed them with water bottles to make the colours run.  Then after they dried in the sun we added pipe cleaners.

We came home to watch the Netherlands win and move on in the World Cup to the finals.  Go Orange Go!
Hadley always cheers against whomever we are cheering for.  Sometimes it is the other team, sometimes it is the refs.  Today is was Uruguay or blue as she called them.

Then tonight it was just one of those nights where I hadn't done the grocery shopping yet and McDonalds was calling our names so to celebrate the win, we headed there to enjoy the goodness that is McDonalds and some play time in the play place for Hadley.  Then grocery shopping as a family.  :)

Tonight it was finally time...
The air conditioning was turned on. I don't need it to be particularly cold or anything but just to take off the edge of the humidity we put it on to about 25 Celsius.   Ahhhh, refreshing.  :)

Hmmm, do we have any lemonade?
