Hadley's first kite flying experience

Last night Julie (Brian's sister) arrived at our house late, just as we were coming home from my sister's birthday party.
She spent the night so that she could enjoy the Netherlands game today with us at 10am.
After the dutch win, we had lunch and then headed to Rotary Park to fly a kite with Hadley.  She saw someone on one of her cartoons fly a kite and has been asking to try this ever since.  So, today was the day.
While Brian and Julie made a great effort to put it in the air and hand it off to Hadley, that just wasn't happening.
So instead, it went more like this:
Hold kite up high, give Hadley the rope, turn her around so she wasn't looking at the kite and tell her to run.  Then, seconds later, tell her to stop because the kite came crashing down.
There were a few moments where the kite was actually in the air, but I think we will have to buy a new kite that only has one set of strings to maneuver instead of two.  Plus maybe a windier day.
Still good fun.
After a while it was time to play with her ball, and then head home.
We enjoyed frosters / freezies afterwards.
After dinner, Julie generously offered to babysit while Brian and I went to go see Toy Story 3D.  Very cool.  I did notice that I was wearing the glasses through the whole movie but it was cool.  Thanks Julie!
What a nice day!
