22 wks LMP (20 wks gestation)
The baby weighs approx. 15.17 ounces or 430 grams and is approx. 10.94 inches or 27.8 cm long.
A heartbeat can be heard without specialized listening equipment now.  This is cool but we haven't experienced it yet.
Real hair and toenails are beginning to grow. The baby continues to urinate and drink amniotic fluid, which is exchanged every three hours.
At this point, baby girls have developed all the eggs they'll ever have in their ovaries.
The brain is rapidly developing. Fatty sheaths that transmit thought are forming. Eating protein is very important to help develop this.

Hadley is so cute when she tells everyone that the baby is in mommy's belly and growing.  Then when it is time for the baby to come out she thinks that the baby will want to play with her toys right away.
She also thinks that a soother will fix all crying.  It is really cute to watch her walk around the house with her babies saying shhhh shhhh shhhh.  She holds them up on her shoulder and rocks them.
I think it has been so helpful to have so many of our friends having babies just months before ours is due.
Lots of baby movement, but mostly at night right before bed.
Speaking of which...
Good night!
