Easter
This morning Hadley was happy to see that the Easter Bunny had come to her house. Her basket was full of chocolate, eggs, toys and such.
We enjoyed breakfast together as a family and then went to pickering to go on an Easter Egg Hunt at the Courtyard.
The hunt wasn't so much of a hunt as there were no eggs to be found when we go there. (We were even there 15 minutes early).
So we waited it out by seeing the Easter Bunny, and then sitting in the courtyard with free hot chocolate with marshmallows.
A little while later some of the eggs that were collected were handed in for gifts and then re-hidden for others to find.
So Hadley finally found her bright orange egg and she held it with pride.
This egg was handed in for a chocolate bunny with some jelly beans.
Following the hunt we went for a family walk on one of the trails near the courtyard. We played pooh sticks. (Throw a stick on one side of a bridge, and watch it race under the bridge to see who's stick goes the fastest on the other side).
When we got back home we had lunch and then decorated eggs.
This was followed by outside time together playing catch, and enjoying the sunshine.
Beautiful.
