Swimming and Holiday Make and Take

Today Hadley and I went swimming with Patti and Alicia at the McLean Centre.  It has been SO long since we have been swimming but Hadley LOVED it.  She was jumping in with no issues of water in her face and when she wanted something on the other side of the pool I would ask her to put her ears in the water and put her legs down and back float across.  She would do this with my help with no problem.  We KIND-OF do this in the bath tub and I guess it has paid off.  Other times I would ask her to blow bubbles and she did that also.
She and Alicia played with the water toys and splashed around enjoying the water.  So much fun.

Later in the afternoon there was a storytime/holiday make and take a the library.  We made a lantern and a Christmas tree.  One was supposed to be left to decorate the library tree but Hadley loved her masterpieces so much that when she asked if she could take both home, I eventually gave in.  Despite my efforts of trying to show her how it was supposed to work.
She was so proud of her work that she kept trying to show the person in charge what she had made.  It was fun to see her so proud of her work.

We did another make and take today at main branch at the library.  We made two paper stockings with sparkles and a Santa Claus.
She was very willing to put one of her stockings on the tree.  So fun!
