MOPS

I started a new program today at Carruthers Creek Community Church AKA C4.  It is called MOPS.  Mothers of preschoolers.
The program runs every other week and goes for 1.5 hours.
In this time, Hadley goes in a play room with other kids her age and does circle time, songs, books, snack and open play.  Then the moms go in another room and discuss other topics of interest such as the topic this month: living on a budget.  I had some great moms at my table this week.  Jessica, Nicole and Heather.
I think this group will be really good for me for many reasons (spiritual growth, new friendships, me time), but I think it will also be good for Hadley to play with other kids without me around and learn how to listen to other authoritative figures.
Hadley did really well apparently and only stood by the door for the last few minutes and they said she kept saying, mommy come back, mommy come back.  (Which Brian and I have taught her that if she can't see either of us, she should wait where she is and we will come back for her because we love her).  But they said she wasn't alarmed, or crying just telling them what should happen.  They said if she looked really upset for any reason they would have brought her to me.  (Two other kids were brought in during the meeting so I felt good knowing that they would consider her emotional well being and bring her in if they felt she really needed me).
She was VERY happy to see me when I came back and said: mommy, I missed you.  (So sweet).  I missed her too.
For us, this is a long time to be apart.
After week one, I am happy with the new program to add to our regular routine.
