Michelle and Derek's Wedding / VON Walk
On Saturday Brian, Hadley and I headed to Etobicoke / Mississauga to attend Michelle and Derek's wedding. They had a large church service and a reception with lots of polka music, and lots of food.
I think the high-light for Hadley though was the goody bag that they prepared and had on our table for her. We stayed until after midnight and then headed to Cecilia's (Brian's aunts) house to stay over night.
This saved us so much time as we had to get up early to head to Strathroy the next day for the VON walk.
Here we met up with Jeff and Theresa and their family as well as Phil and Doreen and their family.
We walked approximately 5 KM in the rain and then enjoyed a warm lunch with some entertainment.
The good times continued back at Jeff and Theresa's where we had pizza and chips!
I was tired but the group decided that it would be good fun to go to the drive-in. So, we did.
We saw The Ugly Truth and District 9.
The Ugly Truth was very predictable, but District 9 was really good with a flair that is different from that of our normal North American films.
Just after 1 am we were back at Phil and Doreen's to spend the night.
We got home pretty late the next day after enjoying some good food and conversation.
So are the fun tiring times of our lives. :)
