My Birthday Week
My birthday week was full of wonderfulness!
It started the day before my birthday. I didn't feel like cooking so we decided to use up a free pizza coupon I had for Pizza Hut. I also had free coupons for Dairy Queen. Mmmm Blizzards! I love FREE stuff.
Later that night I did some scrapbooking with some of my scrapping friends. So that was a fun day!
On my actual birthday I got together with my mommy group for a get-together / shower for Chaylee and her new baby girl Blair. It was like old times when everyone was off work for the first year of Hadley's life. We all got caught up and watched the kids play.
That night Brian, Hadley and I used up another coupon that I received from Boston Pizza. So dinner was less than $20 for all three of us.
The next day I was treated by my brother to Wonderland.
It was so much fun to take Hadley to wonderland for the first time.
Her first ride was the old Ford cars. She also enjoyed the merry-go-round, the tea cups and the playground. We spent a good amount of time in Hanna Barbara Land. We also were able to get in line at the end of the day for the Behemoth. After Joe rode the ride with one of his friends, Hadley watched in Joe's arms as Brian and I took our turn. I was terrified going up, and going down I kept thinking that I didn't sign up for bungy jumping (or something like it). However, after the ride was over, I wanted to do it again!
The day was so much fun! (Thanks Joe).
On Thursday we went to the "Make and Take" at the Ontario Early Years Centre. Hadley made some great crafts.
Then Friday we headed to Kitchener to Brian's grandmothers house where we met up with Brian's sister Lisa who came in for the weekend from Nova Scotia. We also met up with Julie, Brian's mom and Brian's grandma obviously.
Saturday we met up with my mom for breakfast and then headed over to Mount Forest for a BBQ at Steph and Derek's House. Here we met up with Ryan, Lori, Trevor, Melanie, Joel, and their respective children. Including the newest baby, Nolan (Ryan and Lori's 3 month old baby). It was a late night but a lot of fun.
Sunday was the Verkley picnic at Don and Maria's house. Again so much fun.
We were able to catch up with so many people. It was a pig roast feast with great conversation. What a busy FUN week.
