Markel Baseball

Tonight I was invited to play with an old colleague in the TMFSL (Toronto Mutual Fund Softball League).
This is the same league that I played with when I worked for BMO/GGOF.
Brian watched Hadley and I drove into Toronto to Moss Park.  This park is interesting to say the least.  There are homeless and crazy people everywhere.  There was one lady doing some sort of ritual in left field and she was half naked, and a soccer team playing in right field.
Jeremy has been a great friend to me over the years.  He now works at Markel and he invited me to fill in for one of the girls that couldn't make it.   Of their seven girl roster, five couldn't make it tonight so he had to find replacements.  We played against the Toronto Blue Jays (their execs, and admin staff).
We lost badly.  25-11.
BUT... I had so much fun.
The team has so much potential but we just fell short on quite a few plays.
Jer put me on first base for the whole game so that meant I was involved with a lot of plays.  So that made it so much fun!
After the game they held a practice and I stayed for that also just for fun.  (Even though it looks like they won't need me very often if at all in the future).
Brian said Hadley was great with him all night.  (GOOD NEWS)!
