Rouge Park and the May long weekend
Our plans for the long weekend changed last minute.
So this meant that we would have warm comfortable beds to sleep in, but we still wanted to enjoy the outdoors.
So on Sunday, Brian, Hadley and I headed to the Rouge Park near our house.

While it is only a few minutes drive from our house it felt like we were FAR away and it definitely didn't feel like we drove closer into Toronto.
We couldn't hear the highway, we saw only the beauty of the outdoors.
It was wonderful.
It was a free hiking adventure (with no map) and since Hadley walked for half of the 3KM, we were out for about two hours.
She was very tired afterwards but I think she really enjoyed her day as we did.
Today we went to the zoo and let me tell you, it was a zoo. We took the zoomobile to the back of the park and Hadley walked to the bottom of the Canadian section hill where Hadley LOVED the bears and then we went back up and then we took the zoomobile back to the front. This took us about 2 hours. It was a beautiful day to be outside but it seemed that everyone else thought so also!
The rest of the weekend was spent doing things around the house. Not all that exciting but good to have a chance to get these things done.
