24 Months
Okay, officially in 9 days Hadley will be two. So saying she is XX months old will be over but for now she is still just under the mark so I have titled this entry 24 months.
Anyway, with that comes a visit to the doctor for a very "painless" checkup.
While there were no needles, Hadley did not like to be measured or weighed by the doctor and she really didn't like having her eyes checked with a light flashed in them or having a cold stethoscope on her chest. But we made it through. The weigh in actually happened with both of us being weighed and then subtracting my weight.
She weighed in this time around at 25 pounds up from 21 pounds at 18 months. She was 88 cm tall up from 80 cm with a new head circumference of 48 cm up from 47 cm.
She is now in the 75th percentile for height, up from the 50th percentile meaning she is now tall for her age up from average. She is also now in the 25th percentile for weight up from the 10th percentile meaning now only 75% of the kids her age weigh more than her instead of 90%
I thought the doctor was going to do backflips. She seemed so happy with Hadley's growth.
She was only slightly concerned with Hadley's speech as it is a little behind that of other kids her age. She did say that some kids just talk later but she recommended that we have a hearing test done. So we will book that in the next little while.
The next check up shouldn't be until she is three.
