HOT WATER
Hooray for hot water!
For some time now I have been noticing that during my showers I have had to turn the water to the hottest setting about halfway through my shower; and by the end of my shower I have been wishing I could turn the handle further.
I tried changing settings on the hot water heater but still nothing worked to keep the hot water coming until the end of my shower.
(I don't take long showers I just like HOT showers).
So, after attending the home show, and doing a little research we called direct energy and decided a replacement rental from them was what was in order.
Our 16 year old, 60 gallon tank was replaced with a new 50 gallon tank that is much more efficient.
I called on Wednesday, they came on Thursday afternoon and Friday morning (today) ... HOT WATER for my shower and Brian's too! Brian took a shower right after mine to test out how having a smaller tank worked out and he said he had enough hot water!
While I still had to turn it up a little during my shower, (I said I liked hot showers), I certainly didn't have to put it on the hottest setting and I had hot water until I decided to get out.
(I took a few extra minutes this morning to enjoy the luxury of our hot water being restored)!
