Christmas

On December 23rd Hadley and I got together with the mommy group at My Bubble Play Place in Whitby.  It was nice to get out with everyone that could come as most moms are teachers and are off for the holidays.

This year feels a little different as Brian and I don't really have weekends or holidays.  However, winter has come with abundance this year with lots of snow outside and that helps to mark the season; even if it means lots of heavy wet shoveling.   I love it.
Hadley is fun and looks so cute in her one piece snowsuit, boots, hat and mitts.

Today (Christmas) was especially fun as Hadley had such excitement digging down into her stocking for her goodies.  She would say "ooooohhh ohhhhh oooooooh".
She showed excitement even before she knew what it was that she was bringing out.

As for unwrapping gifts she would tear small pieces off of her gifts and want to put that piece in the garbage before she would continue.
As she went along she would realize there was a gift inside and then the paper could just go on the floor, but the process would begin again with each new gift.

She thoroughly enjoyed opening each gift with her big gift from us this year being her first pair of skates.   Size 6 is the smallest that they make skates which is her size.
While we gave Hadley her gifts for the most part, she would always ask before opening a gift if she picked it up  by saying "ya?"
This is especially good as there are still gifts under our tree for a few more Christmas gatherings we have in our future.

The day was very low key, but we enjoyed a roast beef dinner and time together.
