Shaye's 30th Birthday
Today Brian and Hadley spent the day together while I headed into Toronto for Shaye's 30th birthday celebrations.
We started the day by watching Shaye's friend Todd and his group perform at Second City. They had an improv show that was really funny.
Then, we went to Wayne Gretzky's for dinner. There were about 7 of us including Todd who bounced back and forth between tables of the cast and us.
A few cast members actually came to our table and pretended like Todd was a celebrity and asked for his autograph. Then after they found out it was Shaye's birthday they said "okay, on the count of seven, let's sing" and so after the count of seven, we sang happy birthday!
The staff then brought out a cake for Shaye and sang to her after hearing us sing. Her cake wasn't quite enough...
Our table couldn't seem to resist the dessert menu and so we shared two servings of the stone mill cookie dessert which is REALLY good. A warm cookie doh in a hot skillet with ice cream on top. MMMMMM.....
While it was a fun day, I am glad to be home as I hear awful weather is in the forecast. I pray everyone drives home safely.
