For the love of dogs and ducks

About two weeks ago when we asked Hadley "what does a dog say?" She would reply with a wwwoof.
Last week and this week she seems to favour ducks.  She still loves dogs, but she points to ducks first in books, she saw some ducks today at the zoo which made her quite happy.   She has stuffed animals that are ducks and has started playing with them regularly and just last week I found replacement bathtub duck toys which she definitely favours over her other bath tub toys.  Which if you look back before she accidentally put her bath tub ducks into the toilet, these were already past favorites.  See previous post: http://ajax.verkley.com/blog/leanne/index.cgi?sid=326&user=
So after happily replacing these ducks we have really been trying to encourage her learning about things she likes.
So when now when I ask her what does a dog say, she replies Ah WA, and when we say what does a duck say, she says Ah WA.
If you say dog and duck to yourself out loud you will how confusing these words could be to someone learning the English language.
If you say woof and quack out loud you can see how Ah WA covers both.
We will continue to work on these animal names and sounds.
