A helping hand
After giving birth to Hadley approximately a year and a half ago, I remember what it was like to have somebody around (Brian's mom) to help with the little stuff that was just hard to get to right after Hadley was born. It was SOOOO great!
So, over the last two weeks I have tried to model what I considered to be so wonderful and offer any help I could to make my sisters transition into motherhood as easy as possible.
While Hadley and I stayed over and did some laundry, dishes, and cooking, I wish I could have offered more assistance; but the truth is that my sister is recovering fantastically and seems almost back to her 100% independent self.
She is a strong woman!
I think Hadley had a great time at the park with Mandy, Jayden, Tasha, Cooper, and Jake, as well as the many visits from other people to the house while we were there. Hadley loves Jayden but did get a little jealous if I held him too long.
It was nice to be there and fun to help and I love being an aunt, but it is also nice to be home again.
