My 30th Birthday Week
I am very blessed. The day after I got back from our vacation, my friends and family came to Ajax to have dinner and drinks/cake with me for my birthday Saturday night. I was still quite tired from our trip but the company was great and we stayed up until 4am.
(Hadley got up at 7:30am, so that was fun).
Let's just say that Sunday was a PJ day.
Monday, my actual birthday was a little less fun as this is the day Brian lost his job at Bell. See Brian's blog: http://ajax.verkley.com/blog/brian/index.cgi?sid=429&user=
Brian insisted that we go out for dinner as planned as this day was supposed to be my day.
It was hard to feel like celebrating but Brian made every effort to make it a day about me.
We went to the new Keg in Ajax, which we had been waiting for a good occasion to spend so much money on one dinner. It was delicious but I did feel a little guilty spending so much money given the news of the day. However, this is not where the gifts ended...
I was further spoiled with my new Tissot Watch from Brian, my complete Anne of Green Gables book set from Hadley, wine, flowers, scrapbooking stuff, lottery tickets, candles and much more from those that attended and those that couldn't be there from the gathering on the weekend).
(It was a good birthday despite the news).
Looking more and more into what happened that day, the blessings keep coming. We have been given time.
With a 6 month package from Bell, we have been blessed with time to figure out our new life direction. Not everyone gets this chance to go in pretty much any direction they like, while married with a child in the picture.
We have no idea what the new direction will be, but I continue to pray about it and ask for others to pray with me.
After this news, my birthday was again celebrated yesterday by the downtown crew from BMO/GGOF at Jump.
I am truly blessed.
