Maritime vacation

Well, we are back from our maritime vacation.
We spent two lovely weeks exploring the east coast of Canada.
We tried to drive as much as possible when Hadley would normally be sleeping so as to keep her days and nights straight.
We left Friday August 1st and got as far as Dorval where we stayed in a hotel for the night.
August 2nd we headed for Old Quebec where we enjoyed the outdoors walking around the city, followed by a wonderful dinner at St. Hubert.  The evening was spent standing in the rain watching a sound and light show on enormous grain silos about the last 400 years.  Interesting but wet and the sights were mostly blocked from my short point of view.
There were so many things going on for the 400 year celebration, so we stayed the night at the Holiday Inn Express, which was expensive but the only thing available that night.  However staying the night allowed Hadley time to spend the next day in the kid play area (which she loved).  We also enjoyed some gelati ice cream, beer and peanuts at a pub and of course more walking around.  There is so much to take in with music, tents, horse and buggy rides, and so much more.
We camped that night at Beauport Municipal Campground.  (It was decent and inexpensive offsetting the previous night).
We left early August 4th to get some hours on the road.  We stopped in BIC Quebec National Park for lunch, and then another stop at Cap Chat later in the afternoon to touch the St. Lawrence River and have a snack.  This was our LONG drive day.  We stopped again at Park National de la gaspesie to enjoy a spaghetti dinner.  This was such a long day on the road but it didn't stop there.  We continued to drive until after midnight so that we could be at Gaspe to see Perce Rock at Sunrise.  We had a little glitch with our camping reservation at Panorama de Perce in that they closed before we arrived.  So, we slept in their parking lot, in our car.   Recommendation - if you make the drive to see this, stay at a hotel!  It was a long drive for a beautiful view (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perc
