Mini Vacation Weekend

On Friday night the moms from our mommy group decided to get together without babies for a hot tub night at Beth's.
We left the babies with our husbands and headed out for the evening.
We enjoyed strawberry daiquiri's and talked the night away in the hot tub.
Mostly about the babies.
But it still felt like a much needed girls night out.
Saturday we headed to my friend Shaye's house for a summer BBQ.
She lives basically outside the door of McRae Point Provincial Park about 20 minutes outside of Orillia.
We enjoyed the afternoon/evening by eating so much good food and conversation.  We ended up staying overnight and then spent a good portion of today also with Shaye.
She made us a wonderful french toast breakfast and then we headed out to the beach at McRae Point Provincial Park.
I got to try out my new sling that Lori made for me and it is WONDERFUL.  I love it.
Hadley,Shaye and I put our feet in the water, while Brian was onlooking from a picnic table, and then we spent some time on the swings.
After a bit, we headed back to Shaye's for lunch before we had to head out.
Tonight I had baseball at 6pm and we won 11-4, which is awesome as we haven't had that many wins this season.  We were very happy!
From what I hear, Brian and Hadley spent a fun night at home together playing games and the like.
The only thing that was a bit of a challenge this weekend was Hadley's sleeping.  She woke up Friday night through out the night, and then last night at Shaye's in hysterics.  It seemed like nothing would console her.
But after trying a diaper change, food, and a drink, and some cuddle time she finally fell back asleep.   However she was up 3 hours later.
I felt broken. I needed sleep.  She normally sleeps through the night so I was really not used to this!  She went back to sleep by 8am, and so did I.
I definitely  paid for staying up late.  I was exhausted!
She was up late again tonight.
We will have to work hard this week to get her back on schedule.
