Derek and Steph's Wedding
This past Saturday Brian, Hadley and I went to Derek and Steph's wedding in Atwood.
The wedding was planned to take place at our good friend's the Johnston's pond but the weather told us to move. It down poured!
Unfortunately, minutes before the wedding was to take place we were all running for cover.
Most ran to their cars but the wedding party and a few other close friends including us went in the Johnston's house to figure out what to do from there.
Sadly, it was decided to move the ceremony. (The guys worked so hard on the property the weekends prior to the wedding and the site looked great but the weather was too bad to stay there).
So, we witnessed Derek and Steph's union at the Atwood Hall about 45 minutes later.
It was still beautiful as they are such a cute couple.
The day went well with lots of catch up with some high-school friends and Hadley even slept from 8pm until 1am at the reception.
She only woke up when someone decided Karaoke would be a good idea.
However, she woke up in good spirits and just danced with us until 2am.
Everyone commented on how well behaved she was.
After the hall closed up for the night, I took on my DD role and drove some people back to the Johnston's.
And then Brian, Hadley and I back to my dad's house for SLEEP!
We all slept in, and then visited for a few hours before heading home just in time to do a few things before I had to head out to a double header for baseball.
It was a busy weekend, but good fun.
