The May Long Weekend
On Thursday I headed to Kitchener where I met up with my mom, aunt and cousin for lunch. I ended up spending some good time after lunch catching up with my mom. It was a beautiful day.
After arriving back home I realized I had a lot of work ahead of me to get things organized for the long weekend away at the Cole cottage.
It seems kids need to travel with everything but the kitchen sink...but if I could just fit that in...
Anyway, we went up to the cottage late Friday, with a brief stop in Listowel to see Aunt Julie and Grandma Verkley. (We had to wake Hadley for the visit but it was good fun).
Saturday the weather was great but Sunday was down right frosty!
We worked on planting some flowers, chopping wood, and other opening weekend chores, but the best part was just catching up with everyone.
I am a little tired from the weekend but it was definitely worth the drive!
Although we were on top of cleaning Hadley the best we could over the weekend; Hadley experienced her first shower today. It was a little tricky, but we managed. :)
