Crazy weekend

This was such a crazy weekend.
Friday night we went out to Joanne and Andy's for our first Eastender dinner of 2008.  It dawned on us that we started having these dinners without kids and now between all of us there are seven little ones.  Right now we are at a one adult per kid ratio.
Joanne made lasangna from scratch, also brought was garlic bread, salad and cookies to accompany this lovely meal.
All were a hit.
We stayed out way too late but had a great time.
Saturday I met up with some of the girls from my mommy group to get together with Chaylee who was the first mom to go back to work (in January).  We definitely miss her in our little group and it was nice to catch up.
We also had a little potluck that ironically included lasangna as well.  This time there was a lettuce and pasta salad to accompany the meal with two kinds of two bite desserts.
Dinner on Saturday night was out at East Side Marios with the GGOF girls.  Eva, Dianne, Jenny, and Johanna.  I say GGOF girls but only one from this group actually still works at GGOF.  But it was such a fun gathering.  We hadn't seen one another for about a year and a half for the most part so the catching up went from 5pm until almost 11pm.  I am surprised East Side Marios was so patient with us as none of us were drinking; but they were great!
Sunday I came crashing down.  I was VERY ill.  I had a fever of 38.2 and was just week all over.  Plus I had a stuffed nose, sore ears and a headache.  Hadley apparently wasn't feeling all that great either as she slept for about 3 hours.    (This was so nice for me).
I went to bed early despite really wanting to watch the rest of the Oscars.
As soon as Hadley fell asleep, I went to bed.
Overnight and only one tylenol later, I managed to gain so much strength.  My temperature went down o normal, and I felt so much better.
My nose is still a little full, and my throat a little dry, but I feel about 85% better.
I guess I had just worn myself out and needed a day to recoup.
It is a good thing it was on a weekend so Brian could really help with Hadley.  What a blessing that was!
