Second Step
Hadley has, minutes ago, taken her first second step. She has been walking all over the house recently, exploring anything she can, which means anything that has a handrail. Around the table, transfer to using the couch, around the table, along the bookshelf, around the table, along the fishtank. If she can hold on, she'll walk along it.
Lots of times in the past month she has taken one step without holding on. Either one step to mom, or one step to the couch. Usually followed immediately by a fall and a bumped head.
Today for the first time she took a second step on her way to falling into Leanne's arms.
While that may not seem like much, it is a huge step (haha, funny pun). She now seems to realize that putting another foot forward can help to maintain balance. Before only her arms balanced her. It is amazing to watch her learn.
