Groundhogs Day and Superbowl

Well, I kind of missed Groundhogs day this year.  I totally forgot about it until today.  So for those out there who also missed it check out: http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=cc3WYb_G5RA
to see that there apparently was no shadow to be found when Wiarton Willie emerged.  However, Punxsutawney Phil did see his shadow http://www.groundhog.org/prediction/ so really, I have gained minimal insight after looking this up.

Instead, I spent Saturday in Listowel visiting.  I purposely caught up with my sister, brother, cousin, dad and even my friend Meghan.  But, I was happy that I was able to catch up with all the people I saw while out for dinner also.  I think I knew somebody at every other table.  Ahhh, small town!

I came back to Ajax that night to sleep in my own bed before heading to Barrie for our annual Superbowl extravaganza at Cort and Sherri-Lyn's.

Hadley was given the task of picking the winner of the Superbowl and although she didn't have the same pick as me, she was right.
We put two pieces of banana on the counter, one representing each team.  Now, since she is clearly right handed and the bigger piece of banana was on the right and represented the Patriots, (my choice) I was surprised to see her reach out and choose the Giants.  However, apparently I should take this girl to Vegas as she chose right!
Brian and I also won at half time with Brian's score pick.

It was a good weekend but again busy.
