Sunday
This morning after Brian went off to work...(yup, it is Sunday, but he had to work today); Hadley and I got ready for the day.
We had some time before we were to be in Listowel, so, I took Hadley to Church for her first time. I have been looking for a good one in the area and my friend Theresa suggested Carruthers Creek in Ajax. So, I decided to go check it out.
She was right, it had a good mix of modern worship with a band on stage, a huge screen which displayed words for the worship, Biblical text and a powerpoint presentation. The minister was very easy to listen to as he brought some old text to life in a modern context.
I did however find it hard to keep Hadley entertained for the entire time.
She was good for 3/4 of the time but the last little bit was a challenge.
I am not ready to leave her in the nursery yet, so I don't know if I will go every week but perhaps I will try going every once in a while.
After the service we headed to Listowel to Brian's cousin Tina's as she was hosting a Pampered Chef Party. We enjoyed good snack food that was prepared with cool cooking tools that were being presented by Julie's friend.
After this we spent some time visiting at my dad's, and then met up with my sister for dinner. We enjoyed food at the new Crabby Joe's in Listowel. I was VERY impressed. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
It was nice to get caught up with so much family in one day.
The drive home was less then preferable. Highway 86 was awful with snow everywhere and it really didn't get better until we hit the 401 and DVP.
I was very tired when I got home and once in the house, Hadley decided that she was now awake and ready to play. (I was happy that Brian would get to see her, but it would have also been nice to have transfered her into bed and have her keep sleeping). Oh well, she is in bed now and we will work on the car seat to bed transfer another time.
It was a very busy day. Time for sleep!
