Leanne Rocks

I used to think that Cecilia was the luckiest person on earth, what with her winning trips and goods at least once a year it seems, but now I'm convinced she has some competition in Leanne, and that is good news for me.

Yesterday a supplier called her and offered her two tickets to a Leafs - Sabers pre-season game. Just got home from the game. Amazing.

The Leafs lost 5-2, but we had a good time.  Third row greens (front of the upper deck) in the neutral zone.  You can see the play develop from there even better than our closer first row reds we had last year.  If these weren't better seats, they certainly weren't any worse.

The Leafs looked terrible.  No jump, bad passes, missed passes, etc. etc.  At this quality they would never make the playoffs.  Bright spots were Chad Kilgar and Matt Stajan.  I know, with all those old stars, the best guys on  the ice weren't even regulars last year.

Even though the game was decided in regulation, there was a shoot-out.  They are having one at the end of each pre-season game to demonstrate the format.  Personally, I love it.  No more yucky ties.  I wouldn't want it in the playoffs, but there are no ties there anyway.  It was fun, and very tense.  After about 8 skaters on each side without getting a single goal, Tie Domi ended it.  Yes, Tie. Yes, the guy whose name anagrams to Me Idiot.  I love Tie.  The place went wild.

Anyway, to sum it up:
1) Leanne and I are very lucky
2) Hockey is still fun to watch
3) Hockey will return in good shape.

Well I'm not sure I'm oh so super excited about hockey returning, what with my all-sports-are-stupid stance. But I do love free exciting stuff and free tickets to anything just sounds like a recipe for smiles. Yes yes, I got tired of just reading the blog and decided to sign up just to participate by replying. Although its possible ill blog it up with my own life, its also not very likely. Hugs and Kisses to you both
