Santa Claus Parade and American Thanksgiving

This weekend was another busy one.
Friday night we went grocery shopping for our Thanksgiving festivities on Sunday; then Brian went to help Shawn and Delena move so Hadley and I had Friday night and most of Saturday to ourselves.  Mostly this meant that I was trying to clean and Hadley was trying to play beside me.  Key word...trying.

Brian got home just in time Saturday night to shower, have dinner and head out to the Santa Claus Parade in Ajax with us.
We were joined by Rob, Christine and Mathew Legault.
It was Mathew's first time at a Santa Claus parade also!
We drove and parked in the plaza at Bayly and Harwood and then enjoyed some snacks indoors before we headed outside.
The parade was actually fairly long and everyone was surprised how well Hadley dealt with the cold.
We did have her bundled but her cheeks were still cold.
It was quite fun to share this new experience with her.  The floats were all lit up as it was a night parade.  Very cool.  (No pun intended).

Sunday we had my mom and Pat, as well as my sister and brother over for American Thanksgiving.
Pat is American so it makes it so much easier for us to spread out all of the Thanksgiving's this way.  Plus it means Turkey in November!  Speaking of turkey, this was my first ever attempt at cooking a turkey and I must say that it turned out not too bad;  Once I got into pulling out the neck...(YUCK)!
The day was full of food, football, and fun.
It was a busy weekend but when do we every have a dull weekend?  Really?
