Winter Swimming
This week we have been very active. We started the week out by going to a creative memories party, and I am so excited to work on my scrapbooks again! I am also thinking of having a party in January so if you are interested, please let me know. There are so many fun things now!
As for the swimming, well, Brian and I took Hadley swimming in the summer, but today was her first time swimming in a pool.
Yes, that's right, yesterday she was in the snow for the first time (see Brian's blog entry at http://ajax.verkley.com/blog/brian for pictures and a write up), and today she is swimming.
This morning we got ready and headed to the Whitby Rec. Complex where we met up with Lori and her daughter Audrey, Chaylee and her son Ethan, as well as Beth and her daughter Clara. They all looked so cute in their little swim suits.
We had such a good time! The water temperature was perfect. The pool was about 2 feet deep, which was perfect to wade around with the little ones. There were all kinds of ducks, buckets, and toys to play with, and Hadley also tried splashing, kicking, and licking the water.
I can't wait to take her again. She seemed to really enjoy herself.
