6 Months
Hadley is officially 6 months old.
What did we do yesterday to commemorate the day...
Well, we started the day at a weight watchers meeting for me. I have 13 pesky pounds to go to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. Slow and steady. I know. Then we went out to get a few groceries. We took the car which we rarely do, so it was nice to pick up a few heavy items that we needed. In the afternoon we went to the stars and strollers program at Cineplex Odeon where we saw The Brave One with Jody Foster. It was a decent movie. I will try to find time to write a review in the movies section if I can.
After that we headed to Oshawa to renew my health card which was actually due to be renewed on my birthday in August. Ooops. I dropped the ball on that one. Oh well.
Brian was working late so I had an early dinner and then took Hadley out for a walk by the lake. It was quite nice. I came home, gave her a bath and waited for the real half birthday fun began. When Brian got home, we took the plunge and gave Hadley her first taste of food. She was so fun to watch as the squash I made the other day was all over after she reached out with both hands in full force taking the spoon and its contents directly to her mouth as she does with...well...everything. It was very fun for me to see Brian feed her as he has never had the opportunity up until now. I am not sure she actually ate all that much but it was a good start. Perhaps I should have waited on that whole bath thing until after. :)
