Ontario Early Years Centre

Today Hadley and I ventured to the Ontario Early Years Centre.  This centre is in Ajax and is funded by the government.  There are special programs throughout the week that are designed for different age groups from 0-6 years.
We are in the 0-12 months group.  Today was the muck and guck session.  It was an activity to help babies understand touch.  They had jello, pudding, jam, and a few other edible finger paints.  Although I don't really want her eating any of these things I am glad to know that if she did get some in her mouth...at least it would be food.
She had a great time!
I think I will make time to add this into my routine as much as possible.  They have different activities all the time in the centre but also have things like walk and rhyme in the park, they sometimes bring in guest speakers and I think it is a great way to meet other parents / kids who are in the same stage of life.  Free fun.  My kind of fun!
