Wedding Weekend
Our weekend started early. We headed to Kitchener on Friday morning to help set-up tables and work on decorations for John and Patti-Jo's wedding. Once we felt like things were pretty much organized, we stopped to have some much needed lunch and then we headed to the Holiday Inn to get settled in for the weekend. Later that evening we joined back up with the group of happy helpers for a BBQ.
On Saturday just before noon I dropped Brian off at his dads and then I went and hung out with my brother for a few hours. We enjoyed some lunch together and got caught up.
The wedding was totally my style. I loved being outdoors catching up with family. Hadley was beautiful in her new dress and was happy throughout most of the day. (Sucking her thumb helped keep her quiet throughout the ceremony and everyone that saw her thought she looked so cute). Brian did an amazing job with his toast and had the crowd laughing. The food and music were great.
Brian and I managed to dance once with Hadley and once on our own to our song. Two very special moments for me.
Hadley was determined to stay awake all night. It could have been that she was ill, (we woke up to an un-healthy odour and throughout the day we came to find that our little girl required multiple diaper changes) or the music was too loud or just too much was going on; but by midnight she was DONE and just needed to be in a bed.
Hadley was still not well today so I called telehealth and found out that she likely has an intestinal virus that should continue for 5 to 14 days. Our little girl is officially sick for the first time.
I blame the frogs. :)
