let the official training begin
we did our first training walk in Ajax last night. There are some GREAT trails around our neighborhood. we walked at a reasonably brisk pace (enough to break a sweat) and covered just shy of 4 km in about 2 hours. The nice thing was that we could walk most of it on grass and uneven ground, rather than walking on boring pavement at other places. today, no ill effects. Leanne is not bad either.
we've cut out alcohol and caffeine from our diets as well. They are dehydrants, and being dehydrated can increase your altitude sickness symptoms.
Hopefully we can walk again on Saturday morning. Twice a week would be nice.
