Downtown Toronto
Yesterday Brian drove to work downtown so Hadley and I made the trek with him. I went and visited with GGOF people, and it was nice to see everyone.
It was a bit of a challenge to change and feed her in an office setting and keep her from crying in case people were on the phone but we managed okay. (After all it was Friday, so it tends to be a little more relaxed).
The reactions were from all googlie (AKA hand her over, I have done the bounce walk a hundred times before with my own kids) to, perhaps I shouldn't touch her in case I break her.
I had lunch in BCE place and the white noise seemed to put Hadley to sleep instantly. (To note, the elevator to go to the food court was a bit of a challenge to find as I have never used it before).
After lunch it was back up to GGOF to feed, change, and visit some more.
By 3:30pm the day seemed long but we still had quite the agenda ahead of us with a visit to see Lindsay and Jamie next on the list. At about 5:30 we left there as Jamie had an audition to head out to for that night. (Break a leg Jamie).
One last stop before leaving Toronto...Henry's.
Brian and I had been looking online for pocket cameras with video capability and after much comparison decided to go with the Nikon Coolpix P5000. I am very happy to have a small pocket cam on hand now as there are so many precious Hadley moments to capture. It was a bit of an investment but one that I think will pay back large. :)
Oh and while we were in Henry's we saw Stacey and Sherwin who were also buying a camera. It was nice to also be able to catch up with them.
By the time we got home, I was EXHAUSTED. Brian helped out A LOT with Hadley. I must say the days that are out of "routine" are the hardest but sometimes you just need to mix it up.
