Dinner and a movie

Well sort of...

Last night we decided that it would be nice to go out for dinner and the come back and watch a movie at home (Gone with the wind).  This would allow just a short time out of the house between feedings and changings.

We waited for Hadley to finish feeding, then got ready while she was asleep.  The destination...Mongolian grill in Whitby.  A nice healthy stir fry only a short distance from our house.  We got on the 401 only to realize we had a baby that required a diaper change; We stopped halfway between our house and the restaurant hoping that if we changed her enroute we would still have some driving time to put her back to sleep.  (Changing a baby in a car is not easy, but we managed and we were back on our way).  We arrived at the restaurant parking lot with a very awake and now hungry baby.  After feeding Hadley again, we still had an awake baby.  What would we do in a restaurant with a screaming baby should that happen?  We found ourselves exhausted at this point and decided to just head to McDonald's where a screaming baby would be okay should that be our fate.  Sit down dinners out will have to wait until we have some more practice getting out.

From start to finish, 2 hours later we were back home.

We did however, manage to watch a little more than half of Pearl Harbour which was on TV.

Dinner and a movie :)  Different dinner destination, different movie, but still our mission was accomplished.  :)

Haha. Theresa and I are reading this laughing.  Brings back so many memories.  It won't be long before you get into a groove and have it down pat.  The nice thing about babies is that they keep you so busy, that time goes by quickly.    So it won't be long at all.  I promise.  :)
