The due date has come and gone...
Well, the due date has come and gone. We had our weekly appointment this week on the 13th and everything seemed normal. The 14th came and went as did the deal at Sears which would have given us gift certificates for everything purchased up to that date should the baby have been born on that date. Oh well. The baby has a different birthday plan. My stomach measurement is now 38.5cm, with blood pressure at 102 over 48. Still lots of stomach movement which is good. I am now 40 wks LMP (38 wks gestation). The baby weighs 7.63 lbs or 3462 grams and is 20.16 inches or 51.2 cm long. According to pregnancy.org who also says that the umbilical cord is 20 inches long and will support the baby through birth until the lungs take over.
We are getting excited now for the birthday as is everyone else. Unfortunately at this time I can only say...we are also waiting. Be patient. :)
I have one more day of vacation left and then my maternity starts on Monday. So, next week I have the fun of dealing with the government to get all sorts of things settled so that I can get paid while I am off. :)
