Vinen Shower
This weekend Lindsay drove me to Listowel to attend my first baby shower hosted by my sister for the Vinen side of my family. This is a bit surreal. I honestly felt like I was going to someone elses shower and I should be picking up a gift. But no, it is me that is going to be the mom. It makes me smile to think of the arrival of our baby. Just a bit surreal. I was glad to not have to be driving alone. I took the GO downtown to Toronto where Lindsay picked me up at Union Station. We got some much needed talk time on our drive. At the shower, there were games, food and I am always overwhelmed by the love and support I have around me. I am so increadibly blessed. I also received a number of really nice gifts. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
It was cool to compare stories with my mom's cousin Tammy who is due two weeks after me and my cousin Christina who just had a baby two months ago. Later after catching up with so many people, Lindsay drove me all the way back to Ajax and we arrived just in time to have Brian and Shawn help us unload the gifts from the car to the house. (Shawn was only there for a few minutes so this was GOOD TIMING).
