Update on Hadley

Over the past month there have been some noteworthy items to document.  Hadley achieved honour roll for her grade 10 year and they celebrated again at the school with an event where she was called up on stage and presented with a certificate with parents in the audience.   She is such a hard worker when it comes to school and we are so proud of all the efforts she puts into her education.  She was able to celebrate with many of her friends who also met this achievement.  Afterwards they celebrated at the nearby Starbucks.

This is year also brought back the semi formal dance.  Pre-Covid the school had dances, but they haven't had any since, and because she entered highschool after they had stopped school dances, this was her first school dance.  The theme was Hollywood nights.  She had a lovely silver on the bottom with sequin and black on the top dress.  After coming home from school we did hair and make up and then her smile shone as she twirled around the living room excited for the night.
At the dance she later showed me that there was a photo booth where she got photos taken with her friends, a large lit up hollywood sign, cutouts of famous people to take photos with, a DJ, and fun lights with lots of music and much more dancing and people that she thought would attend.

Hadley also volunteered at the library on the night of the Ajax Santa Claus Parade.  She was in charge of setting up the craft tables and then helping anyone that might need help with the craft and in turn she had a pizza night with the volunteers and got volunteer hours under her belt.
This year she wandered around with the volunteer group to watch the parade which was new for me, (my heart wandering outside my body) but something she wanted to try.

Swimming lessons also finished off so that will be nice to have one less thing to run around to this holiday season.

A busy couple of weeks.
