Basement Wall

The weather has been fabulous the last week, summer-like conditions actually, like bring out the shorts to wear weather.  So, we spent much of it indoors... but took advantage of being able to cut wood outside.
A few months ago we found a supplier for old barn boards.  Like 100 year old wood that was literally taken off of a barn in southern Ontario. It was back planed for consistent thickness and cut for standard width of 5, 7 and 9 inches, and heat treated it to get rid of bugs.  This was the wall covering we wanted for the basement wall and while we hadn't planned to do it now, we had the wood now because the price was right.  So, with the good weather, we prepped the electrical and then cut and placed the wood on the wall.
I LOVE IT!  Just looking at the wall fills my cup.  Nature indoors.  I am so happy with it.
