Easton's Chickens and Braces off for Hadley, Selinah and Jordan's first swim

Easton has now been looking after his chickens for over a month and with his hard work every day to feed, water, and clean the bedding, every morning when he lets them out he is given two eggs.  Then he just lets them back in after dinner.  So far he has now received two dozen eggs.  At $0.25 per egg, he has made $6.  There has only been one day where soft eggs were laid, but apparently that is normal, and the chickens did everything to clean it up.  The chickens are so calm, and lovely to have around.  They do want to be indoor chickens as they follow us everywhere when we are outside including right up to the door, but I am so glad that Easton doesn't have to chase them down every night to put them in their coop, they just follow him easily and he closes the door. What a lovely experience for him.

Hadley just got her braces off after two years.  The way her bite is, the bottom teeth require a little movement still but the orthodontist is going to do that with a retainer for the next six months.  Then after that she will just wear a night time retainer for life.  There is a small chance that once her wisdom teeth come in that her mouth will alter, so we need to keep a good eye on her mouth regularly until that happens.  Her overbite is so much better and her smile is beautiful.

In other news we took Selinah and Jordan for their first swim in the backyard.  Technically Selinah has been swimming for a few minutes before but it was not a pleasant experience and only minutes long, so according to Julie it barely counts.  This was a much better experience and all four cousins swam together.
